Questions, answered.

What BioElle does, what it costs, and what happens to your data.

BioElle shows patterns. It does not diagnose. Go through anything clinical with your GP or doctor.

About BioElle

What it is and who it's for.

What is BioElle?

A body-data app for women. It reads your bloods, DEXA, genome, cycle and wearables next to what you take and do. Then it shows what moved.

Who is it for?

Women who test, track or take something, and want to know if it works.

It adjusts to where you are: regular cycles, perimenopause, pregnancy, HRT or recovery after a procedure.

Can I use it yet?

Not yet. BioElle opens on iPhone first. Join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

Where is it available?

The UK and the US. You can use it elsewhere, but it's built for UK and US rules.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. You need to be 18 or over.

Do I need blood tests or a DEXA to start?

No. Start with your daily check-in, your cycle and Apple Health. Add bloods or a DEXA scan when you have them. Each one sharpens the read.

How it works

What you add, and what it does with it.

What can I add?

Blood test PDFs from any lab. DEXA scan reports. Your cycle. Anything in Apple Health. A DNA file from 23andMe, Ancestry or MyHeritage (in private preview).

And what you take and do: supplements, medicines, training, HRT and procedures.

How does it know if something worked?

It compares the days you followed a change with the days you didn't. Nothing shows until at least 5 readings back it up.

Then it tells you what moved, and how sure it is.

Which watches and rings work?

Anything that writes to Apple Health: Apple Watch, Oura, Whoop, Garmin and Withings. If you type a number in by hand, yours wins over the sensor.

What if a number from my report is read wrong?

You check every number before it saves. You can fix any value first.

What about my old DEXA reports?

Reports from the two most common DEXA scanners, Hologic and GE Lunar, read free. We read other scanners too. That costs one lab report read, or nothing on Plus. You can also type in old scans by hand, for free.

Does it work if my cycle or hormones aren't textbook?

Yes. It ignores normal day-to-day swings. It knows when a procedure changed your body, not your effort. It reads your bloods against ranges for your cycle phase.

It never names a condition. That's your doctor's call.

Your health and your GP

What BioElle does, and what it leaves to your doctor.

Is BioElle medical advice?

No. BioElle is not a medical device. It shows patterns in your own data. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace your doctor.

Does it replace my GP?

No. It shows patterns in your data. Bring them to your GP. Your doctor decides what they mean.

What if something looks wrong?

When a pattern matters, BioElle points you to your GP. It won't name a condition.

In an emergency, call 999 in the UK or 911 in the US.

Where do the ranges come from?

Published, peer-reviewed research. Ranges are set for women and adjusted for age. Every source is listed on the clinical references page.

Your data

What we keep, who sees it, and how to take it back.

What data does it collect?

Your cycle, weight, body composition and daily check-in.

Optional: Apple Health, progress photos, bloodwork PDFs and a DNA file. You choose what to add.

Who else can see my data?

No one. We don't sell it, rent it or share it for marketing. Supabase, our database provider, stores it for us.

Does AI read my data?

Sometimes. If our own tools can't read a report you upload, its text goes to Anthropic, an AI company, to read it. Your file is read on your phone first. Only the text is sent.

Anthropic handles it in the US, only to return the result. It does not train its AI on it.

A written summary feature, The Read, also uses Anthropic. It stays switched off in the live app until clinical and legal review is done.

Is my DNA data safe?

Your DNA file never leaves your phone. BioElle reads it there and keeps only the wellness markers it matched. You agree before anything is read.

Disease-risk and medicine-response markers are blocked, so BioElle never reads them.

How do I download my data?

Go to Settings, then Data Export. Choose CSV, JSON or a PDF report.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. It removes all your data, including health records, protocols and photos. It can't be undone.

Pricing

What's free, and what you pay for.

How much does it cost?

The app is free. Plus is $99 a year, or $14.99 a month. It shows why your numbers moved, writes your GP report, sends protocol reminders and reads every lab report.

Or buy lab report reads one at a time: $7.99 each, or $19.99 for three.

What is Range?

Your weight at each body fat, set from your own lean mass. Not a chart. A muscular woman lands 10 kg heavier than the chart at the same body fat. Range shows her number.

Needs one DEXA scan. Four bands: Fit, Lean, Defined, Floor. The app does not set targets under 20%.

What does Plus unlock?

Plus explains your data. It shows why your numbers moved and explains them in The Read, with cycle context. It lets you try what-ifs on your projection. It sets your Range: your weight at each body fat, from your own lean mass. It writes your GP report and letter as PDFs. It sends protocol reminders and syncs them to your calendar. It reads every lab report you upload.

Your numbers, patterns, a 12-week projection and health warnings stay free.

How do I cancel?

In iOS Settings, under Subscriptions, or in BioElle Settings. One tap.

Cancelling stops the next payment. Your data stays unless you delete your account.

Can I get a refund?

Bought through the App Store? Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Paid another way? Email us within 14 days. Unused report credits can be refunded. Used ones can't.

No question matches that search. Try a shorter word.
